PhD & COMMUNITY YOGA SCHOOL. After the age of 30, the human body stops naturally developing muscle, and body tissues become less pliable. One might think strengthening is the key component to maximize function but it is actually mobility. Mobility creates access within the body and without it, one may feel stuck and will be prone to injury. This unit is designed to delve deeper into advanced anatomy and physiology for the established yoga teacher. Through integrated lecture, hands on, and yoga practice, we will review major body systems, common injuries, and proper modifications for injury/injury prevention for a safe yet powerful LivFree®️ yoga practice. Participants will need to bring a notebook, pen, and be prepared to practice yoga. Open to yoga teachers (15 CEU) and students. Led by Caitlyn Holik, PT, DPT, 500 RYT.
This immersion is available at The Yoga Shop of South Windsor and on LivStream (Zoom).
