Free Guided Meditation led by Petra.

We are offering a 30 minutes FREE guided meditation every Saturday at 11:45am at The Yoga Shop of West Hartford. Come for the yoga class before, or just for the meditation.

The proven benefits of meditation are many but here are a few: it helps you deal with stress and anxiety, it lowers your blood pressure and cholesterol levels, it increases the production of the “happy hormones”, it increases the production of anti-aging hormones and it can help you sleep better. And it will bring your LivFree®️ Yoga practice to a deeper level!!!

You will learn all the basics of meditation (how to sit, what to do with your hands, how to stop the spinning monkey mind …). We will practice different techniques like Body Scanning Meditation, Japa Meditation (mantra), Vipasanna Meditation, Metta Meditation (loving kindness), Chakra Meditation, Zen Meditation and Walking Meditation. All meditations will be guided and you do not need any meditation experience.

Petra has had a regular meditation practice for over 15 years. She’s done meditation trainings with Josh Summers, at Odiyana Meditation Center and Kripalu. And she recently did a 10 day silent Vipasanna Meditation Retreat.
